> dijitul marketing carries out independent digital marketing audits for UK businesses at £45 an hour + VAT, on a fixed quote. We review your Google Ads, paid and organic social, email, GA4 tracking, consent set-up and website conversion, then give you a ranked list of fixes with the likely effort and impact of each, in plain English.

Price: £45 an hour + VAT

## Problems this solves

- You are paying an agency every month and are not sure what you are getting.
- Ad spend has crept up while enquiries have stayed flat.
- GA4 numbers don't match what the ad platforms report.
- You have inherited accounts from a previous agency or staff member.
- Nobody has looked at the whole picture, only individual channels.
- You want a second opinion before committing to a bigger budget.

## Key facts

- Audits are charged at £45 an hour + VAT on a fixed quote agreed first.
- We only need read or standard access to your accounts; nothing is changed during the audit.
- Tracking is checked first, because every other finding depends on accurate data.
- Findings are ranked by likely impact and effort, so you know what to fix first.
- You keep the report whether or not you hire us afterwards.
- We don't do SEO audits here; those are handled by searchenginetuning.co.uk.

## Why an independent audit

When the same agency runs your marketing and reports on it, there is no one to check the checker. An independent audit looks at every channel with fresh eyes and no interest in selling you a particular one. dijitul marketing audits at **£45 an hour + VAT** and agrees a fixed quote before starting, so you know the cost up front.

We ask for read or standard access to your accounts. We do not change anything during the audit. You get a written report and a walkthrough call, and the report is yours to use however you like, including handing it back to your current agency to act on.

## What we check, channel by channel

- **Tracking and consent.** Is GA4 recording the right key events? Does Google Tag Manager fire tags only after consent where needed? Is Consent Mode v2 passing ad_user_data and ad_personalization? Are Meta pixel and Conversions API events deduplicated?
- **Google Ads and Microsoft Ads.** Campaign structure, search terms and negatives, bidding strategy against conversion volume, Quality Score, Performance Max asset groups and feed health. The deep version is our Google Ads audit.
- **Paid social.** Audiences, creative fatigue, frequency, conversion events and attribution settings.
- **Organic social.** Posting consistency, formats, engagement and whether profiles link to anything useful.
- **Email and SMS.** List growth, consent records, flows, engagement and domain authentication.
- **Website conversion.** Landing page relevance, speed on phones, forms, calls to action and trust signals.

## Tracking comes first

If the data is wrong, every other finding is suspect. A common example: a Google Ads account bidding on 'Max Conversions' when the conversion action counts page views of the contact page rather than form submissions. The algorithm then does exactly what it was told and finds people who look at the contact page. Spend rises, enquiries do not.

Other frequent problems include duplicate purchase events firing on order confirmation reloads, Meta events counted twice because pixel and server events lack a shared event_id, and consent banners that block all tags with no Consent Mode signals at all. We list each issue, explain what it affects and how to fix it. The fix itself is often a one-off conversion tracking job.

## Consent and compliance checks

An audit also looks at whether your marketing is set up within the rules. On the website, we check that the cookie banner offers a genuine choice, that advertising tags respect it, and that Consent Mode v2 signals reach Google. On email and SMS, we check where contacts came from and whether the consent or soft opt-in record would stand up under the ICO's PECR guidance.

This matters more than it used to. The Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 raised the maximum PECR penalty to 17.5 million pounds or 4% of global turnover, with that change commenced on 5 February 2026 according to SI 2026/82 on legislation.gov.uk. We are not lawyers and we will flag anything that needs legal advice, but we can spot the common problems quickly: pre-ticked boxes, bought lists, missing unsubscribe links and tags that fire before anyone has agreed.

## How findings are ranked

A list of 80 issues is not useful. We group findings and rank them on two scales: likely impact on leads or sales, and effort to fix. Quick, high-impact fixes go at the top. Each item says what is wrong, why it matters, and what to do, in plain language your team can act on.

| Priority | Meaning |

| Fix now | Wasting money or breaking measurement today |
| Fix this quarter | Clear improvement, moderate effort |
| Consider | Worth testing once the basics are right |

## After the audit

Some businesses fix everything in-house. Some ask their existing agency to work through the list. Others ask us to take on specific channels or to help turn the audit into a digital marketing strategy. There is no obligation either way.

We do not audit SEO here. If organic search is a significant part of your marketing, our sister site searchenginetuning.co.uk handles technical and content SEO audits, and we can coordinate so you get one joined-up set of recommendations.

## What you get

- Tracking and consent audit: GA4, Google Tag Manager, Consent Mode v2, Meta pixel and CAPI
- Google Ads and Microsoft Ads account review
- Paid and organic social review across your active platforms
- Email and SMS review: list health, flows, consent and deliverability
- Landing page and conversion path review
- A ranked action list with effort and impact for each item
- A call to walk through the findings

## FAQs

### How much does a digital marketing audit cost?

dijitul marketing charges £45 an hour + VAT for audits and agrees a fixed quote first. The total depends on how many channels and accounts are involved. You get a written report and a walkthrough call.

### What access do you need?

Read or standard access to GA4, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, Meta Business Manager, your email platform and any other channels in scope. We don't make changes during the audit.

### Will you tell us if our current agency is doing a good job?

We will tell you what we find in the accounts, good and bad, with evidence. We focus on what is set up and how it performs rather than on personalities, so the report is useful whoever acts on it.

### How long does an audit take?

Usually one to two weeks from receiving access. The time depends on the number of channels, the number of accounts and how much campaign history there is to review. We confirm the timescale with the quote.

### Do you audit SEO as well?

Not on this site. SEO and AI search visibility audits are done by our sister site searchenginetuning.co.uk. We can coordinate both audits so you get a single, ranked set of priorities instead of two competing lists.

### Do we have to hire you after the audit?

No. The report is yours. Many clients fix things themselves or pass the list to their current agency. If you want our help, we will quote separately for the work.
