Sound familiar?

  • You have hired a marketing assistant who needs to learn the tools quickly.
  • You run your own Google Ads or Meta ads and are not sure you are doing it right.
  • Nobody in the business can read GA4 reports.
  • Your team posts on social media but with no plan or consistency.
  • You want to bring marketing in-house and need the skills first.
  • Generic online courses have not stuck because they don't use your accounts.

Key facts

  • Training is £45 an hour + VAT, for one person or a small team.
  • Sessions use your own Google Ads, GA4, Meta, social and email accounts wherever possible.
  • Run live over video, or in person by arrangement; sessions can be recorded for your team.
  • Every session ends with written notes and a short checklist to follow afterwards.
  • Topics are tailored to your business, not a fixed syllabus.
  • Follow-up support is available at the same hourly rate.

Training that uses your own accounts

Most marketing courses teach with demo accounts and generic examples. People nod along and then freeze when they open their own Google Ads account. dijitul marketing trains in your actual accounts wherever possible, so every click, report and setting is the one your team will use on Monday morning.

Training is charged at £45 an hour + VAT, whether for one person or a small team. Most clients book a short series of sessions on related topics, with time between them to practise. We start with a quick skills check so we do not waste anyone's time on what they already know.

Topics we teach

  • Google Ads: campaign types, keyword match types, search terms and negative keywords, bidding strategies such as Maximise Conversions and target CPA, reading Quality Score, and when to use Performance Max.
  • GA4: the reports that matter, key events, explorations, comparing channels and spotting broken tracking.
  • Google Tag Manager: what tags, triggers and variables do, and how to check what fires.
  • Meta ads: campaign objectives, audiences, creative testing, reading results in Ads Manager and Events Manager.
  • Organic social media: planning, formats, scheduling and community management.
  • Email marketing: building campaigns, segmentation, automation and reading reports in Klaviyo or Mailchimp.
  • Consent and compliance: PECR rules for email, SMS and cookies in plain English.
  • Reporting: building a simple Looker Studio (now Data Studio) dashboard.

Who it suits

Training works best for businesses that want to do some or all of their marketing in-house, and want to do it properly. Typical clients include:

  • Owners who run their own ads and want a second pair of eyes plus the skills to improve
  • New marketing assistants or executives who need to get up to speed fast
  • Teams taking over channels from an agency
  • Office or admin staff who have been given social media or the newsletter on top of their main job

If you would rather someone senior oversaw the team on an ongoing basis, our fractional marketing director service combines direction with coaching.

Example training plans

Plans are tailored, but these give an idea of how sessions usually fit together.

GoalTypical sessions
Run your own Google Ads safelyAccount structure and match types; search terms and negatives; bidding and conversions; monthly review routine
Understand your website dataGA4 reports and key events; explorations and funnels; building a simple dashboard
Bring social media in-housePlanning and formats; scheduling and community management; Meta ads basics
Run email properlyConsent and list building; campaigns and segments; automation and reporting

Each plan ends with a short written routine: what to check daily, weekly and monthly, and the warning signs that something needs attention. That routine is often the most useful thing a team takes away, because it keeps good habits going long after the training ends.

How sessions run

  1. Skills check. A short questionnaire and a look at the accounts, so we pitch it right.
  2. Plan. We agree topics and the number of sessions. Most sessions run for one to two hours; longer days include breaks and practical exercises.
  3. Live sessions. Screen-shared over video, or in person by arrangement. Attendees work in the accounts while we guide.
  4. Notes. After each session you get written notes, links to the relevant settings and a checklist.
  5. Practice and review. Your team completes small tasks between sessions, and we review them at the start of the next one.

Sessions can be recorded so new starters can watch later.

Free resources that complement our training

We point trainees to the platforms' own learning material to keep going after our sessions. Google offers free courses and certifications through Skillshop, and Meta has free courses through Meta Blueprint. These are useful for definitions and theory. Our sessions fill the gap between theory and your real accounts: why your search terms report looks the way it does, what to do about it, and how to tell if the change worked.

If, after training, you want us to check your team's work now and again, follow-up reviews are charged at the same hourly rate. Many teams book a monthly hour for a quick review and questions.

What you get

  • A short skills check before the first session
  • A tailored training plan by topic and session
  • Live sessions in your own accounts
  • Recordings of sessions for later reference, if wanted
  • Written notes and checklists after each session
  • Practical exercises to complete between sessions
  • Optional follow-up reviews of work your team has done

How it works and what it costs

Google Ads management from £150 a month, social media management from £125 a month and email marketing from £95 a month, all + VAT. Ad spend is separate and paid to the platform. No long contracts.

  1. Free review

We look at your current ads, social, email and analytics, or your plans if you are starting out, and tell you plainly what we would change.

  2. Plan and price

You get a written plan with targets, budgets and a fixed monthly fee before anything starts.

  3. Set up properly

Tracking and consent first, then campaigns, audiences, content calendars or email flows, all in accounts you own.

  4. Run and improve

We manage it every week: search terms, bids, creative, posts and tests, cutting what does not pay and doing more of what does.

  5. Report in plain English

A monthly report on leads, sales and cost per result, not vanity numbers, with what we will do next.

Frequently asked questions

How much does marketing training cost?

dijitul marketing charges £45 an hour + VAT for training, whether for one person or a small team. Most clients book a short series of sessions, agreed in advance, so the total cost is clear.

Do you train in person?

Most sessions are live over video with screen sharing, which works well for software training and is easy to record. In-person sessions can be arranged by agreement. We are based in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.

Do you use our own accounts?

Yes, wherever possible. Training in your own Google Ads, GA4, Meta and email accounts means your team learns the exact settings and reports they will use. We need standard access for the session.

Is this a certified course?

No. It is practical, tailored training rather than a certificate course. For certification, Google Skillshop and Meta Blueprint offer free courses, and we can point your team to the right ones.

Can you train a new marketing assistant from scratch?

Yes. We start with the basics and build up over several sessions, with tasks between them. Many clients pair this with a monthly review hour so the assistant has ongoing support.

Do you provide notes?

Yes. After each session you get written notes, links to the settings and reports we covered and a short checklist for the week ahead. Sessions can also be recorded for anyone who could not attend.
