What our Google Ads management covers
Google Ads is not one product any more. A typical small-business account might run Search campaigns for high-intent keywords, Performance Max for wider reach, Shopping ads for an online shop, remarketing for people who visited but didn't buy, and YouTube ads for awareness. Trades in some areas can add Local Services Ads, and registered charities can apply for Google Ad Grants.
We manage whichever of these fit your business, inside one account you own. If you already advertise, we usually start with a Google Ads audit so you know what is working before we touch it. If you also want Bing and Copilot traffic, see Microsoft Ads, or PPC management for both platforms together.
Tracking comes before spend
Smart bidding can only optimise towards what it can see. If your conversion actions count page views, duplicate form fills or nothing at all, Google's bidding is working blind. So the first job on every account is to check that real outcomes are recorded: form submissions, calls from ads, calls from the website, purchases with values, and booked appointments.
- Conversion actions in Google Ads, with one primary goal per campaign and secondary actions kept for observation.
- GA4 key events that match the Google Ads conversions, so both tools tell the same story.
- Consent Mode v2, passing the ad_user_data and ad_personalization signals that Google has required for UK and EEA users since March 2024.
- Enhanced conversions where your forms or checkout allow it.
If this is missing, we set it up as part of conversion tracking (from £145 + VAT, one-off) or GA4 set-up (from £95 + VAT, one-off).
How we build and run the account
We group keywords into tight themes so each ad group has ads written for those searches. Google Ads Help sets the limits for responsive search ads at up to 15 headlines of 30 characters and 4 descriptions of 90 characters, with two 15-character display paths. We write enough distinct headlines for Google to test, and only pin text where it must appear, such as a regulated disclaimer.
Quality Score is a useful warning light. Google describes it as a 1 to 10 diagnostic made of expected CTR, ad relevance and landing page experience, each rated against advertisers who showed for the same search over the last 90 days. A low landing page score usually means the page doesn't match the ad, which is why we often pair ads work with landing page optimisation.
Bidding depends on data. New accounts often start on Maximise clicks or Maximise conversions, then move to Target CPA or Target ROAS once there are enough conversions to steer by. Every week we read the search terms report, add negatives, check budgets against pacing and look at what Google's recommendations would actually do before accepting any of them.
Google is also folding older features into AI Max for Search. Google's own announcement (April 2026, updated June 2026) says automatically created assets and campaign-level broad match campaigns upgrade from September 2026, and Dynamic Search Ads from February 2027. We check how that affects your URLs and search term matching before it happens, not after.
What Google Ads management costs
Our fee and your ad spend are separate. Management starts from £150 a month + VAT, or 10 to 15% of your monthly ad spend if that is higher. Ad spend goes straight to Google on your own card or invoice.
| Cost | Who you pay | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Management | dijitul | From £150 a month + VAT, or 10 to 15% of spend if higher |
| Ad spend | Your budget, set by you | |
| UK DST fee | 2% of the cost of ads served in the UK, per Google Ads Help | |
| Conversion tracking (if needed) | dijitul | From £145 + VAT, one-off |
We work monthly, cancel with notice. We don't promise positions, ROAS or lead numbers, because those depend on your market, offer and website as much as the ads. What we do promise is a clear account of where the money went. See full pricing.
Google Ads or SEO?
Paid search buys visibility today; organic search builds it over months. Most businesses benefit from both, and the search terms report from Google Ads is one of the best sources of keyword data for SEO. We keep this site to paid media, and our sister site covers SEO and AI search visibility. If you're unsure where your budget should go first, a digital marketing strategy session will give you an answer based on your numbers.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Google Ads management cost in the UK?
dijitul charges from £150 a month + VAT, or 10 to 15% of your monthly ad spend if that is higher. Ad spend is extra and paid directly to Google. Google also adds a 2% UK DST fee to ads served in the UK, according to Google Ads Help.
What is the minimum ad spend you work with?
We don't set a minimum, but the budget has to be big enough to buy a useful number of clicks in your market. We'll look at likely cost per click for your keywords and tell you honestly if the budget is too thin to learn anything.
Who owns the Google Ads account?
You do. We work inside an account in your business name, billed to your payment method, with you as an admin. If you stop working with us, the campaigns, history, conversion actions and audience lists stay with you.
Do you guarantee results?
No. Nobody can honestly guarantee clicks, leads or a return on ad spend, because results depend on your market, prices, website and competitors. We guarantee transparent reporting and a clear explanation of every change we make.
How quickly will we see results from Google Ads?
Search ads can bring traffic on the day they go live. Smart bidding usually needs a few weeks of conversion data before it settles, so we judge performance over a full month or more rather than reacting to single days.
Can you take over an account another agency set up?
Yes, as long as you can give us admin access. If the account is in the old agency's name, we'll help you request ownership or set up a new account and rebuild the parts worth keeping, including conversion tracking.
